As human BEings, who often focus way more on DOing, I guess it’s a part of our nature to strive and try to derive significance and meaning from what we achieve or produce.

But here’s the truth: the Lord loves us, not for all the great things we can accomplish (as wonderful and noble as they may be) but He loves us simply because He’s delighted in us – His creation. He created us for relationship with Him. (Even God lives in community within the Trinity, as Father, Son and Spirit and He made us in His image).

.
The doings happen as an overflow of us BEING still enough to delight in His Presence, receive His Voice speaking truth and trust in Him as our Father – the One who unconditionally loves us, sees us and knows us by name. (Isaiah 43:1 7, Psalm 139:1-24, Exodus 33:17)

Take the pressure off. Rest in His promises, enjoy His peace that goes beyond reason and logic and believe in His heart for you. This isn’t to say we just sit mindlessly and be lazy…lol! But that the doings will be an outflow of our being with Him.

Take a moment and just look at all of God’s “doings” around you – the sun, moon, stars, oceans, galaxies, animals, you and I and so much more….if He can do all of that and come up with such brilliant colors, ideas and creative energy, imagine what He can do through one heart who will simply delight in being in relationship with Him!
