Green Space…
07th Aug 2018, Author: admin_jc
I realize these pictures may not win the garden of the year award lol but just wanted to share with you the lessons I’m gleaning from my plants, ready? Pour yourself a cup of “green” tea and read along.
It’s amazing what you can do when you choose to remove limits off of your mind. For instance I used to think I wasn’t a plant person, but a few years ago I started owning a couple houseplants just to get some greenery in our space – while the whole time I had absolutely no clue what I was doing hahaha!
While I’ve definitely killed some (plants, that is, just to clarify lol), what I’ve found is that watering, positioning them in sunlight (or with some plants, keeping them in the shade) and sometimes even talking to my plants lol (one even came back to life!!) it all has been so healing, nurturing and calming for my soul. Not to mention it’s given me the gift of #slowingdown, and being intentional about creating space to be #mindful and enjoying the seemingly small and mundane things in life. (aka: not be attached to this phone!!! )
I wanted to share this to encourage you as you scroll through your feed, to give yourself the space to take off the limits in a dream you may be considering to pursue. Choose to create and explore that dream, even if you may have talked yourself out of it because of past defeat or labels you or others have put on yourself.
That area of personal growth and pursuit could be growing plants or getting your Masters in Psychology or starting your own real estate business or some other passion…whatever it is, surround yourself in God’s Light and life giving people, water your heart by meditating on His Word, #speaklife to your circumstances that seem dead, be diligent, work smart, stay the course and rest in His goodness, knowing that while you may not “see” any activity of growth, it’s only a matter of time that those same seeds that were once buried, will come alive and bear fruit.
What is an area YOU took the limits off and were incredibly surprised with the results?
